Dans Cabeza Olmeca, Emilia Pesty fait écho à l’héritage précolombien à travers une composition où passé et présent s’entrelacent. L’œuvre s’inspire du travail de l’artiste mexicain Chavis Mármol, qui a utilisé une réplique massive d’une tête olmèque de neuf tonnes pour écraser une Tesla, un geste percutant dénonçant le contexte politique et sociale actuel.
